Tips For Managing Commercial Office Fit Outs Firms

Let’s say you’re the CEO of one of the commercial office fit outs companies in your city and you want to boost your reach in terms of number of clients. Below are some tips to achieve a more blossoming business:

  • Make sure that every time you do an office fit out, you know the primary objective of the said decision. Whether it’s for the company you are dealing with is in need of larger space to accommodate an equally larger workforce or, the company who needs you expertise in office fit outs, is in need of smarter offices to improve the overall image of the entire company, it’s recommended that you, as a commercial office fit outs company, know and understand each objective so that you would know how to you will work around to complete that specific objective.
  • Continuously hold consultation talks with the affected individuals before starting the office fit outs. This includes talking with the employees, department heads, IT professionals and, both external and interior consultants. Also, it’s recommended that you approach the landlord of the building to early on discuss every detail of the project. Check the proposed charges the company will have to pay so you can give them an estimated cost.
  • Once the project is starting to roll, make sure that you assign one of your most project managers who will be present on time during working hours to supervise everything that is going on with the project.
  • Just like in anything else, managing your own commercial office fit outs firm will be much easier if you are surrounded by the qualified partners, helping you in every project. Whenever you are choosing a partner for your company, whether it’s a design consultant, mechanical and electrical engineer, or an IT consultant, you must double check their track records before hiring them to make sure that they will be able to help you grow your company.
  • Make sure that you always have a clear timetable of the key stages of your projects so you will be able to keep track of what is needed to be completed at a certain point. Make sure that every progress the project is making is being tracked.

Bringing New Life To Tires

Andrew Stevens happily spent the Saturday morning hurling tires to a semi-trailer’s back.

Andrew who is just fourteen years old said that he likes doing it, and that he feels good to be able to help the community.

He went along with his father, Kelley Stevens, in order to assist in collecting used tires from their community for recycling at the Bridgestone Americas Off Road Tire located at 1600 Fort Jesse Road in Normal.

Kelly Stevens who is also a tire builder at Bridgestone said that the event allows tires to be put back to recycling than in getting dumped at landfills.

Collecting tires for recycling

Currently in its 4th year, the Bridgestone event was able to collect numerous tire types, go-kart tires to tractor tires, to be forwarded to the Liberty Tire Recycling.

The recycling company will be shredding the used rubber tires with an equipment like a rubber granulator or a similar tool. Then, they will make rail road ties, welcome mats, athletic tracks, mulch for flowerbeds and playgrounds and a highway asphalt additive.

The rubber mulch from recycling lessens the method of harvesting trees used for wood ground cover. This is less expensive than wood mulch, and it also promotes safe playgrounds.

Bridgestone’s plant manager, Monty Greutman mentioned that the collection number increases each year. Last year, about 1,900 used tires were loaded into 3 semi-trailers. He expected that 2,000 or more Twin City tires are going to be forwarded to the Liberty Tire Recycling after the event this year.

Helping the environment

For Greutman, this event helps clean the environment and also keeps Bridgestone part of the community.

David Colter from Hopedale dropped agriculture tires. The volunteers got the tires from the truck using a forklift and put them to the semi-trailer. Colter said that he has been doing it for 3 years already.

Mike Thomas also dropped some tires off. He said that this is a great thing for their community. He added that it is better to get old tires out from yards instead of leaving them collect water and therefore attracting mosquitoes especially that Zika is prevalent lately. He also expressed that this a civic duty.

Tips On How To Be A Better Gift Giver

Christmas is fast approaching and some people have started making their lists. Of course, you want to be a great gift-giver, but what do people really want for Christmas? According to a 2009 study of Journal of Experimental School Psychology, gift givers tend to assume that people prefer fancier and more expensive presents but in fact they are happier with practical and cheaper presents.

You often think that the price and efforts you put into the gift will matter but the recipient does not see what went with the price tag and they only have what you have given and how it will fit into their lives. Some gift givers assume that a voucher for a five-star place will make a love one happy, but in fact a gift card at one of the restaurants nearby will be a more practical and appreciated choice.

Don’t overdo gift wrapping because it raises expectations for the gift. It also increases the risk of the recipient being disappointed if the present does not live up to the fancy gift wrap. There are times when it makes sense to use simple Christmas gift bags than gift wraps that are gorgeous and beribboned. It is like giving someone a Sear’s gift card on a Tiffany box. Unless you are sure that you are giving something overwhelming like a Tiffany ring in a Tiffany box, consider toning down your packaging.

According to a research made by Harvard and Stanford business schools that was published in 2011, gift recipients are happier when they are given a gift that is exactly what they asked for instead of something thoughtful that is not included in their wish list. There is nothing wrong in asking what the recipient wants. Electronics is not romantic but the recipient will be thrilled because it is what was asked for.

This year, make sure you ask your love ones on the gifts they will appreciate. You will never know what is on their minds unless you ask. There are also Christmas gift bags that are more practical and efficient choice for packaging your presents. They are not too ostentatious and yet they are beautifully made to make someone happy.
